Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam – Overview

Traffic Monsoon has been online since October 10, 2014. They call themselves a “revenue sharing advertising company.”

They say they are able to send quality traffic to your website that will convert to sales. However, if you look closely at the video on the website you will see that very little of that traffic is converting to sales, and in many cases where they do, the revenue is very small.

Most of these types of traffic schemes do NOT result in quality targeted traffic. In the case of Traffic Monsoon, in order to qualify for their “profit sharing” revenue, you have to click on 10 ads per day and stay on those sites for 20 seconds. And have paid for a $50 adpack.

People that come to your website for only 20 seconds are NOT very likely to become customers. So you will have visitors to your site, but if they are not interested in your products or services what good is that to you?

This site is hoping to entice you to join so that you could receive visitors to your own website or make money by clicking on their ads, or reselling their services. According to their website they offer the following products:

  • Pay-Per-Click Banner Ad Campaigns
  • Pay-Per-Click Text Ad Campaigns
  • Traffic Exchange Start Pages
  • Traffic Exchange Credit Purchases
  • Monsoon Traffic Packages
  • Login Ads

Is Traffic Monsoon A Scam – Affiliate Program

One of the big reasons that people get involved with Traffic Monsoon is they also offer an affiliate program where you can be paid 10% on purchases made by customers that you bring to Traffic Monsoon.

As a result, it seems that reselling Traffic Monsoon, and buying ad packs to do it, is mostly what the site is about.

It appears that there are some people making some money using Traffic Monsoon. There is a Facebook page where people are posting that they are making some money using the site. You can see this here.

But, there is also a Facebook page where there a quite a few people talking about it as a SCAM. You can see this page here.

Is Traffic Monsoon A Scam – Paypal Holding All Funds

Traffic Monsoon, LLC is having some problems with their money. Here is a video from the owner Charles Scoville about the issue.

He claims in the above video that Paypal is holding over $62 Million because they “grew too fast.” I have never heard of this before, but I suppose it is possible.

I have not been able to find independent information that Paypal is actually holding funds that belong to Traffic Authority. There is some speculation that people are being told it will be a 180 day hold to prevent them from filing for a refund from Paypal that would need to be done in the first 120 days.

Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam – BBB Review

When looking into any opportunity I always like to check the Better Business Bureau ratings and complaints.

Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam BBB

As you can see, Traffic Monsoon does not have a good reputation according to the BBB.

The reason for this rating is that Traffic Monsoon has not responded to 5 customer complaints, and that they have a relatively short time in business.

It is somewhat typical for these types of businesses (traffic exchange networks) to not last too long in business.

Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam – Potential Ownership Issues

Traffic Monsoon is owned and operated by Charles Scoville. Is Traffic Authority a scam charles scoville

Charles Scoville has operated several different PTC (Paid to Click) membership sites. They have collapsed after a short run of 2 – 3 years or so. Some people that say they did not receive their due payments or services they paid for when the sites were shut down abruptly.

The other sites were reportedly on the following domains:

  • BuxSecure.com
  • Buxunleashed.com
  • Infinitybux.com
  • powerfulbux.com
  • foreverbux.com
  • infinitybux.com
  • Banrev.com
  • Ultimatepowerboost.com
  • Ulaunchformula.com
  • Wealthenginex.com

Research indicates that all of these have been closed. Some of the domains may have been picked up by other owners. There are widespread reports of these sites failing due to not paying according to their own terms.

One would have to wonder if we are not seeing the same problem now with Traffic Monsoon.

Traffic Monsoon – Pros and Cons

I always try to give an honest unbiased opinion about the opportunities that I review.  And, in this case, there seems to be evidence that some people are making some money using Traffic Monsoon.

I have tried hard to find people reporting that they were receiving great traffic to their website as a result of buying the paid traffic options at Traffic Monsoon, but I have not found anything other than anecdotal evidence at best.

Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam – Pro’s
  • Owner Charles Scoville has had many other PTC sites. Maybe this one will last.
  • Some people are reporting making some pretty good money after having invested $1000 – $2000 or more buying Ad packs from Traffic Monsoon.
Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam – Con’s
  • Poor Better Business Report – An F Grade from BBB.
  • Owner Charles Scoville has had many other PTC sites – All Failed.
  • Traffic Monsoon purports to be an advertising site where you can buy traffic for your website, but there is very little evidence, if any, that they actually provide quality visitors to websites.
  • Paypal has stopped doing business with this site and is holding funds. (This same thing occurred with a prior site by Charles Scoville.)

Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam – Target Audience

Traffic Monsoon’s target audience or customer is anyone that is trying to make money online. While they try to sell themselves as an advertising agency of sorts, that will send quality visitors to your website, they really are more about convincing you that you can make money as an affiliate of their site reselling their services and recruiting new members to do the same.

Traffic Monsoon – Support

Options for support from Traffic Monsoon include a toll free US number, a UK number, an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)page on their website, and a support ticket system.

Anecdotal reports of a lack of responsiveness to support requests was found during research for this review.

Traffic Monsoon – Price

Traffic Monsoon does offer a free account where you can earn up to 2 cents per click for clicking on advertisements on their site. But, if you want to try to make more money on the site you will need to buy an ad pack that starts at $50, and click at least 10 of their ads per 24 hours to take part in the revenue sharing.

Some people have thousands of dollars tied up in ad packs in order to generate higher revenue.

Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam – Final Opinion

Based on the Cons list above I have to qualify Traffic Monsoon as RISKY at best. I would not recommend my friends or family become involved with Traffic Monsoon.

I feel that there is a very high potential that this site will close, possibly leaving thousands of people out in the cold. I don’t necessarily think that Charles Scoville is intentionally evil, but that his business model can only exist for a relatively short period of time because of a lack of quality product or service.

Final Verdict – SCAM
